Beacon Marketing Systems LLC ("Beacon," "we," "us") helps farmers-market vendors, makers and small local businesses with their marketing. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It applies to beaconmarketingsystems.com, our forms and sign-up pages, and our emails and text messages.

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Beacon, and only so they can do that work for us:

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can opt in to text messages from Beacon Marketing Systems by giving your mobile number and checking the unticked consent box on one of our forms, or in the chat widget on our website. If you opt in, we will text you about your account and our services, such as your free booth sign, appointment and order updates, and replies to your questions.

We build sign-up pages for vendors so their own customers can join their email or text list. When we collect names, emails and phone numbers on a vendor's behalf:
If you signed up for a vendor's list and want to be removed or have a question, contact that vendor, use the unsubscribe link, reply STOP to a text, or email us and we will pass your request to them.
Signing up for marketing emails is separate from filling out a form for your booth sign or services. We send marketing emails only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We may still send you necessary messages about your account or services.
Our website uses basic analytics and form tracking only, so we can see things like how many people visit and whether forms are working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site should still work.
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet legal or tax requirements. After that, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
To see, correct or delete your information, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm who you are first.
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
